In PID control,auto-tuning determines the conmtrol subjects, thermal characteristic nad thermal response rate and then it detremines the necessary PID, time constant. Application of PID, time constant realizes fast response & high precision temperature control.Auto tuning automatically stores PID time constant.These PID time constant then be modified by the user to suit there usage environment.When Auto tuning is in progress, the AT lamp located on the front of the controller flashes in one sec intervals.When Auto tuning finishes the AT lamp automatically goes off & the auto tuning parameter will return to off.Auto tuning is not available in Manual mode.Auto tuning parameter need to be select in internal parameter in Program mode.

To wire the input to MD5-HF14 ,Connect CW to terminal 1 & 2 of driver and connect '+'ve of terminal to PLC 5V DC supply to X0 input and its '-'ve terminal to output of PLC Y0. Connect CCW to terminal 3 & 4 of driver and connect '+'ve of terminal to PLC 5V DC supply to X1 input and its '-'ve terminal to output of PLC Y1.
Function of Hold Off terminal is:- 1. When Hold Off input signal is [H],motor excitation is released. When Hold Off input signal is [L],motor excitation is in a normal status.2. A function used to rotate motor's axis using external force or used for manual positioning.3. HOLD OFF input signal[H] and [L] represent photo-coupler ON/OFF in a circuit.4. The motor should be mounted with suitable loading arrangement.The rated voltage at the rated frequency is then applied to the motor terminals at no-load conditions. hence the load on the motor gradually increases and the maximum load at which the motor stalls. when this conditions occur,following steps are necessary,1. The motor should be immediately disconnected from the supply when it stalls.2. the motor should not be kept in locked rotor condition for more than few seconds else it may cause a damage to the motor windings.

No, it is not possible for stepper motor to work properly wiring the driver without the dedicated controller because to drive the stepper motor we need to give pulses to the motor externally.Without giving pulses to the stepper motor we can only run it in Test mode with dedicated driver.
